You have to submit to PMI your application prior to examination appearance. After you submit your application generally it takes 5-10 business days for processing. This reading will help you to understand as why it is preferred to apply after the training. The details of the submission are given below.

Your application when submitted can be 1) approved or 2) put on hold or 3) audited, before it qualifies for the exam.

• In case 1 (approved) , you will be provided with a web-link to pay for exam and continuing, a web-link to select a pro-metric test center/venue across globe, date and time suitable to you. Please also be aware about postponement or change procedures required after fixing exam dates. Once the application is approved you have to appear within one year time else you can always submit your application for approval anytime (even after years) after you have prepared well.


• In case of 2 (on hold) you will be asked for clarification or redo the application.


• In case of 3 (audits) you will be asked to furnish relevant document proofs. You don't have to submit any physical copies while applying except in case of audits. The agreement that your application is genuine (by submit) is a trust which can be audited any time by PMI even after exam results. Please approach us for any help in case your application is selected for audit. Usually, the successful training certification / attested photocopy of the same should be furnished to PMI office. CAPM examination:

• Are developed and independently validated by global work groups of CAPM credential holders
• Are referenced solely to A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®Guide)
• Are monitored through psychometric analysis
• Results are announced chapter wise for CAPM
• There are not a minimum or maximum number of chapters in which candidates need to demonstrate proficiency
• Candidate pass/fail rate is determined based on their overall performance, not on how many questions they answered right or wrong in a particular chapter
• Each of the chapters has a different number of questions within them that are relative to each other but not equal to each other.

PMP examination:

• PMI does not offer any formal recommendations for how to prepare for the PMP Certification Examination
• PMBOK book is only considered to be a reference material for this exam
• Questions are usually practical scenarios and the book cannot be regarded as sole source.
• Results are announced proficiency levels(Proficient, Moderate, Less) for PMP
• There are not a minimum or maximum number of domains in which candidates need to demonstrate proficiency
• Candidate pass/fail rate is determined based on their overall performance, not on how many questions they answered right or wrong in a particular domain
• Each of the domains has a different number of questions within them that are relative to each other but not equal to each other.
